Synergy Strength and Conditioning in Dún Laoghaire launches new website!
Synergy Strength and Conditioning Head Coach Conor Kennedy has worked in the field of strength and fitness coaching full time for 8 years, and has single-handedly coached over 7,000 sessions (both group sessions, and one-on- one). He began his fitness coaching career while practicing martial arts in his early twenties, most notably kickboxing. He achieved his black belt and was involved in coaching at several clubs, while also competing. After a couple of injuries, he stepped back from martial arts and began to spend more time strength training, eventually taking part in several Powerlifting competitions. He has also run several half-marathons over the years and the Belfast City Marathon too. In addition, he has always been a keen cyclist and has completed six of the IDGB Mizen-to- Malin 700km charity cycles. He continued his coaching career as a trainer in a high-end personal training clinic in Dublin in 2007 and worked there for 3 years. He invested a lot of time and money in his continuing personal development in what was then still a relatively unknown field; strength and conditioning.
Conor’s passion is making people better…feel better, look better, move better, and perform better. He has worked with a range of clients over the years, from people in their eighties to World Champion athletes. He currently divides his time between coaching competitive athletes and recreational trainees. In addition to coaching at Synergy, Conor is Strength and Conditioning Coach of Sundrive Track Cycling team, Head of Strength and Conditioning at Gonzaga College Ranelagh, and trains several competitive solo athletes in disciplines including running, cycling and boxing.
Synergy Strength and Conditioning have been open in Dún Laoghaire for just over an year and have gone from strength to strength adding to the vibrant health and fitness sector in the town.
