Food, Music & Theatre in Dun Laoghaire Harbour for June Bank Holiday Weekend

The International Harbour Food Festival comes to Dun Laoghaire Harbours East Pier this June Bank Holiday Weekend. The event is a collaboration between the Dun Laoghaire Harbour Bicentenary Group and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to celebrate the 200thbirthday of the harbour.

The two day festival (Sun 4th & Mon 5th June) will comprise of over 24 international food vendors, an exhibition by local marine artists, historical street theatre and live music.

Food Stalls representing Greece, France, Brazil, USA, Hungary, China, Czech Republic, Nigeria among others will feature everything from Falafel to Langos, Doughnuts to Dumplings and BBQ to Popcorn.

A specially commissioned Historic Street Theatre performance “The Building of a Pier” will tell the story of how the Harbour came to be built, in a fun family-friendly show. Discover the part two ships ‘The Prince of Wales’ and ‘The Rochdale’ played in the Harbour’s development and who Richard Toutcher was.

Music from Upbeat Generation, the Lindsay Ryan Jazz Band and The Retronauts will provide entertainment on the bandstand on the afternoon of both days.

The event is free and open to the public from 11:00 – 18:00 Sun 4th & Mon 5th June
