Sit back and watch the world go by when you dine at Bistro Le Monde. This bistro aims to take their guest around the world by providing their customers with a taste of dishes from several cuisines.
Bistro Le Monde offers a variety of dishes from around the world living up to its name which means ‘The World’ in French. This restaurant is run and owned by business partners Marcel and Carmen. Marcel, head chef, has worked in several restaurants in Dublin and throughout Ireland. Carmen is a world traveler and was inspired to open the restaurant after traveling and tasting foods from around the world.
Carmen says Bistro Le Monde is “Bringing famous food from around the world to the table, that is authentic. You don’t have to reinvent in the kitchen, you just have to pick famous recipes that will suit your clientele.”
Their menu offers Italian, French, Moroccan, Brazilian and many other cuisines. They serve everything from stone fired pizza with dough made daily to freshly caught sea bass or rib eye steak.
Bistro Le Monde is also one of the only restaurants in Dublin that serve fondue. Their fondue is made with a blend of cheeses and served with chunky bread and white wine. This treat is made for two and is the best way to indulge.
All of their food is freshly prepared and plated to perfection. “Each dish has its own unique style of plating to match its country of origin”, Marcel said. To accompany these dishes, Bistro Le Monde offers fine imported wines from around the world, hand-picked by the global trotter, Carmen.
The decor has a travel theme to it – with a wall of silhouettes of iconic skyscrapers and buildings from around the world to make you feel as if you are in the Moroccan desert or in a French eatery. You don’t have to bring your passport to travel around the world when you dine at Bistro Le Monde, its great location is just off the Dart Line and 46A Bus stop and a minute walk from the seafront.
