Tidy Towns

WHO WE ARE

The Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns group has been reformed since January 2020. We now have more than 80 volunteer members. In addition to regular cleanups we are renovating and looking after a number of green areas in the town.

WHAT WE DO AND WHEN

We carry out the following:
Saturday morning 10h30 – 12h00 main weekly cleanup –  (followed by coffee) – we split into several groups and clean several areas of the town including Georges street and adjoining streets, seafront, Marine road, etc.
Wednesday evening 18h00 – 19h00 We clean a residential street and the aim is to develop an “Own a street” concept where local residents take responsibility for their street / area assisted by our volunteers.
Friday 16h00 – 17h00 – quick litter pick in Georges street – this is aimed at increasing our visibility in the town and raising awareness of shoppers and visitors.

We supply gloves, high vis vests and all tools.
We respect all social distancing guidelines and all tools are cleaned between cleanups.
