This time around we’re welcoming four new businesses to the town, with two new ones scheduled to open in the next few weeks! Dún Laoghaire Business Improvement District works hard to bring new businesses into the town to create jobs in the area, decrease the number of vacant retail units, and to encourage people to shop locally.
CeX – Entertainment & Electronics Exchange
CeX was founded in London in 1992, and currently operates in 11 countries. They buy, sell and exchange entertainment and technology products including mobile phones, video games, DVDs and Blu-ray movies, computers, digital electronics, TVs and monitors, and music CDs. They opened on Dún Laoghaire’s lower George’s street during the summer of 2017, to the delight of the towns gamers and technology enthusiasts.

Book Deals opened earlier this month on Lower George’s street. They have a wide selection of books priced between €3 and €7.

Snow Nail & Beauty
Snow Nail & Beauty opened on Wendesday 20th September 2017, and specialise in a wide range of treatments including; Spray Tan, Shellac on hands and toes, Eye Brows, and Waxing. Their prices range from €20 – €45.

Kiwi Sun Tanning
Originally from Hungary Kiwi Sun opened their first Irish location in Cork, and have now recently held their grand opening at their new location at 72A Upper George’s Street. Their tanning beds are Green Light therapy beds which are fully EU-Compliant. They have been developing medical and cosmetological lights since 1995, and work with doctors, physicists and researchers to ensure their beds and lighting are of the highest quality.

Card Factory
Card Factory, a chain from the UK jut recently opened on the corner of George’s Street and Mulgrave Street opposite Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre. The specialize in greeting cards and items for parties.

Card Factory will be moving into the old National Irish Bank building on the corner of George’s Street and Mulgrave Street.
Regatta, the outdoor and leisure company which was founded in the UK in 1981, will be opening beside Sean McManus Jewellers on Lower George’s Street in the next few weeks.
